Obama campaign fires up coal industry

The Obama campaign, after strong criticism from coal industry folks and Democrats in coal country, has quietly fixed its “all of the above” energy policy Web site.

The original version included seven pillars of the policy but made no mention of coal — which, after all, generates nearly half the nation’s energy supply.

James Clyburn backs same-sex marriage; says ‘national’ approach is needed

Mourdock and Donnelly tied at 40 in Indiana, Democratic poll shows

A new poll conducted for Rep. Joe Donnelly’s (D-Ind.) Senate campaign shows him tied with newly minted GOP nominee Richard Mourdock.
The poll (full questionnaire here), conducted by Democratic pollster Global Strategy Group and obtained by The Fix, showed both Donnelly and Mourdock at 40 percent.
