ID theft shocks victims
Dozens of the people congregated outside a courtroom door for the trial of Nancy L. Paquette last week didn’t even know the former insurance agent on trial for 106 felonies, but they were star witnesses for the prosecution. One by one they trooped through the doorway and told similar stories. She wasn’t their insurance agent. They didn’t know she took out insurance policies in their names. And they were stunned when they found themselves in the middle of a king-size identity theft prosecution.
